Welcome to Preserves. By accessing or using our recipe management application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Privacy & Data Commitment
Your privacy is paramount. We do not sell your data. We are a paid product, not an advertising platform. Any data we collect regarding app usage is strictly used to improve the product and user experience, not for user profiling or third-party marketing.

Data Location: All user data is securely stored within the European Union (EU) and is protected under strict GDPR standards.

2. Subscription & Usage Limits
Preserves operates on a freemium model designed to be fair and transparent:

Free Tier: You have unlimited access to your own photo uploads. You may use our social sharing features up to 20 times for free.

Premium Subscription: A subscription grants you access to all advanced upload methods (including web imports and handwritten recipe digitization) and unlimited usage of social sharing features.

3. User Content
You retain full ownership of the recipes and photos you upload to Preserves. By uploading content, you grant us a license solely to host, display, and perform the services necessary to operate the App (e.g., analyzing a recipe text to format it).

4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the App or help anyone else do so. This includes not attempting to reverse engineer our services, violate the privacy of others, or use the App for any illegal purpose.

5. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we strive for perfection, we cannot guarantee that the recipe analysis or conversion will always be 100% error-free. Preserves shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

6. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
